Course structure
The Aeronautical Meteorological Technician (TM1) is a specialized professional responsible for providing essential meteorological services for air navigation.
Through the analysis and interpretation of meteorological data, the TM1 ensures accurate and up-to-date information for pilots and aviation operators, contributing to the safety and efficiency of air traffic.
Training as a TM1 requires specific skills related to the observation and evaluation of atmospheric conditions, in line with the international standards set by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
The Turin Flying Academy offers a training program compliant with the BIP-MT initial training course described in the WMO 1083, recognized as the international reference standard for meteorological personnel training.
- Total duration: approximately 85 hours
- Structure: theoretical and practical activities focused on aeronautical observations
- Goal: to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to access the training phase at a certified operational unit
Upon completion of the initial training, participants will have acquired the necessary requirements to begin the path leading to the Aeronautical Meteorological Technician (TM1) Certificate of Competence.
