Course structure

The Flight Instructor (FI) Course is designed for pilots holding a CPL or PPL who wish to obtain their Flight Instructor certificate.
This qualification allows you to train new student pilots across LAPL (Light Aircraft Pilot Licence), PPL (Private Pilot Licence), and CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence) courses – actively contributing to their growth and professional journey.

The total duration of the course depends on student availability

  • 1 final written exam

Flight Training

Flight training

  • 30 flight hours
  • 2 months average duration
  • 1 final skills test

Flight activities include:

  • 25h dual instruction with a qualified FI (including 5 hours on simulator)
  • 5h flight with another student instructor
  • A final flight test, including pre- and post-flight briefings delivered by the trainee instructor
