Course Structure
The Airbus A320 Type Rating is a training programme designed for pilots who already meet the requirements established by EASA regulations and wish to obtain the qualification required to operate as a First Officer or Captain on Airbus A320 aircraft. This highly specialised training programme combines comprehensive theoretical instruction with intensive practical training on certified Full Flight Simulators (FFS) and Flight Training Devices (FTD), leading to the achievement of the Type Rating.
The course is delivered exclusively by experienced airline Captains and Examiners (TRI/TRE or SFI/SFE), ensuring training that is fully aligned with the operational standards of commercial aviation. The programme includes theoretical lessons, Airbus CBT-supported training, simulator sessions, the final Skill Test and aircraft Base Training, following a structured path designed to develop all the technical and operational competencies required for airline operations.
The course lasts on average between 45 and 60 days, during which trainees complete all the training phases required to obtain the Type Rating. The programme also includes familiarisation with the different variants of the Airbus A320, enabling pilots to acquire the knowledge needed to operate across the various aircraft models within the same family.
